Hi, I'm Hades . . . I know what you are thinking, you think that Hades is a place for the dead, right? Well, the truth is that Hades was not just a place of torture and pain, it was not just hell either, it was a God too. And, here I am! I was the son of Cronus and Rhea. I ruled over the souls of the dead with the aid of my wife, Persephone. Later when I retired, my name was ripped off, and, what do you know, the underworld was born. And gosh, they made a mess of it too. They gave Hades a place for the virtuous, a place for the wicked, and even a place called The Asphodel Meadows, for those boring souls neither virtuous nor evil. As if any one could be neither good or bad! What a lot of nonsense. When I was in charge every one deserved to be punished! I've never known a soul not to be guilty of something wicked!
