In Ancient Egypt evidence of feet domination is
clearly seen in Hieroglyphics. In Egyptian art human and animal figures were
always drawn according to a set of fixed proportions, and reality
was ignored so as to present the most characteristic aspects
of life. Humans, for example, always had heads, legs, and FEET!
in profile. Figures were scaled according to their importance, and
perspective was ignored. In the photo documentation below it is clear
the staggering evidence of what important roll feet played in Egyptian
culture.
